About Ranks

As the ODST is a part of the marine corps, it seems only fitting that we have the marine corps rankings. These ranks apply to all the games that ODST supports. If you are promoted for your skill in, for example, Republic Commando, your rank also rises for all the other games you may play. The only time your rank does not carry over is for anything higher than a Lieutenant Colonel. If you are, say a General in Republic Commando, you would only be a Lieutenant Colonel in Battlefront 2. Members of ODST are not only promoted for skill. A good attitude, helping out, supporting the clan, being active, and other related things are great benefits on your way to the top. You can be the best player in the world, but if you're a jerk, I will personally see to it that you will never rise into the Officer Rankings.

*NOTE*: Moving from Enlisted Ranks to Officer ranks is a big step. Once you are an Officer, more is expected of you. You have tactical command on the battlefield as long as no one higher in rank than you is there. Also, as an Officer, you will get more respect than an Enlisted person.

Ranks

The Enlisted Ranks:

Private (Pvt)

Private First Class (Pfc)

Lance Corporal (LCpl)

Corporal (Cpl)

Sergeant (Sgt)

Staff Sergeant (SSgt)

Gunnery Sergeant (GSgt)

Master Sergeant (MSgt)

Master Gunnery Sergeant (MGSgt)

The Enlisted Ranks are the lower half of the ranking system. Going from Master Gunnery Sergeant to Second Lieutenant is a big step. Enlisted members are to respect officers greatly, and on the battlefield the Officer has tactical command of the Enlisted soldier. If an Officer tells you to do something on the field, it might be in your best interest to do it. Officers are to treat enlisted men with the same respect they expect to get. They need to be calm and polite, because they control the clan. If we have bad Officers, it will drive people away, rather then having them join us.

The Officer Ranks:

Second Lieutenant (2Lt)

First Lieutenant (1Lt)

Captain (Cpt)

Major (Maj)

Lieutenant Colonel (LtCol)

Colonel (Col) {Beginning of Recruiter Ranks}

Brigadier General (BGen)

Major General (MGen)

Lieutenant General (LGen)

General (Gen)

General Of The Marine Corps (TacCom) {Reserved For Clan Founders Vile And Drizzt}

The rank of Colonel signifies the beginning of the Recruiter Ranks. If you are above the rank of Lieutenant Colonel you may begin letting others into the clan. Your decision CAN be overruled by someone of a higher rank than you. Also, people above the rank of Lieutenant Colonel may be squad leaders. Note that if you are a squad leader, people of higher rank have control over YOU, not over your squad.
